Voters need to see on broadcast digital and television mediums that Evan Menist knows the system is rigged and he’s got a plan to fix it so Hudson Valley families can get ahead. Evan has been crystal clear where he stands: tax the rich, build housing people can actually afford with real protections for tenants, and end Central Hudson’s predatory monopoly with a new publicly-owned utility. Evan will stand up to Trump and fight back to abolish ICE and stop their private prison in Orange County. 

A fourth-term Councilman from Poughkeepsie–Evan Menist knows how hard Hudson Valley families have to work to get by. He grew up in a working-class, union family and both he and his wife have had to work two jobs to make it work. Now, he’s been endorsed by the Working Families Party and leading progressive organizations because he knows regular people just need a fighting chance: housing, healthcare, and utilities they can afford. 

On the Council, Evan has delivered. He passed a city-wide rezoning to bring more housing, jobs, and opportunity to Poughkeepsie. He has also delivered tenant protections that ban outrageous rent hikes, fought for rent stabilization, and passed property tax cuts so seniors can afford to stay in their homes.
